In Matthew, chapter 24, our Lord Jesus talks about His Second Coming and the Great Tribulation and signs that will precede His return! In Matthew, chapter 25, our Lord further emphasizes through parables, the need for our preparation for His Second Coming and for our faithful service to our Master. In the parable of the talents, the three servants who are entrusted with the talents of five, two and one signify how we are entrusted with various tasks in accordance with our own abilities! Yes! Our Lord expects all of us to work faithfully in His vineyard, grow a large number of vines, reap a bountiful harvest for Him and take them to His Kingdom! (Verse: 16, 17). He also expects us to go into the town and bring more workers to toil in His vineyard.

Therefore, now the mission for every child of God is to touch and transform other people to be His children and also to be His faithful servants so that they in turn can bring more souls into His Kingdom. Then the Lord would tell, “Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord” (Verse 21).

But, look at what the wicked servant does! He says in his heart, “My Master is delaying His coming” and he begins to beat his fellow servants and starts to eat and drink with drunkards. But, his Master will come on a day when he is not looking for Him and at an hour he is not aware of and will cut him in two and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth (Matthew 24: 48-51). Yes! This is what is going to happen to the wicked and slothful servant, says the Lord Almighty!
