My precious child of God, I greet you in the mighty name of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Today, let's meditate on Isaiah 44:3, which states, "I will pour water on him who is thirsty, and floods on the dry ground; I will pour My Spirit on your descendants, and My blessing on your offspring." Let's focus on the part of the verse that says, "I will pour My Spirit on your descendants and My blessing on your offspring." What an amazing blessing it is for us to receive this experience.

To receive this blessing, what do we need to do? We have to have thirst in our hearts. The Lord Jesus says, "I will pour water on him who is thirsty." Water, in this context, refers to the Holy Spirit. It's a divine experience to receive the power of God by receiving the power of the Holy Spirit. If you read Acts 10:38, you can see what happened to Jesus. "God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power; and he went about doing good and healing all who are oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him." Yes, my friend, anointing means receiving the Holy Spirit. The word of God says, "Ask and it shall be given unto you." When you are filled with the power of God, you will do many great things in your life. You will be filled with the joy of the Holy Spirit, and you too will be used mightily, as Jesus was used in this world.

The disciples were so depressed when Jesus went away from them and were gathered together in one place, fearing men. However, under the instruction of the Lord Jesus Christ Himself, when they gathered and prayed together, the Lord filled them with the power of the Holy Spirit. My friend, in the same way, when you gather together as one family, ask the Lord to fill you with the Holy Spirit, and He will do so. When the Spirit of God comes and dwells in you, you will become a different person.

PRAYER:

Dear Heavenly Father, I am grateful for the promised gift of the Holy Spirit. You are a promise-keeping God, and in these last days, I believe that You will pour out Your Spirit on me and my entire household so that we will be led by You and walk into the blessings You have kept in store for us. Precious Holy Spirit, please never let my cup be empty, but let it overflow with Your anointing and power, making me a new creation in You. Let my heart be filled with Your joy and peace so that I can do great and mighty things for Your glory. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.
