Dear friend, today, know that God is with you. He will never leave you or abandon you. No matter who may desert you, God will always remain, providing you with a clear path forward. So do not worry. God speaks to you today through Psalm 97:10, “God preserves the life of His saints. He delivers them from the hand of the wicked.” Yes, it’s true! God is here today to protect and preserve the lives of His people.
You may be facing taunts, threats, and attacks from those who wish to harm you. Perhaps you are a servant of God, surrounded by threats against you and your family. You may even face opposition from relatives who practice witchcraft against your household because of your love for Jesus. But, dear friend, God sees your situation and stands ready to protect you. He will be the One to preserve the life of His saints, His people. Do not be afraid. No threat can overpower His protection. He will deliver you from the hand of the wicked.
We know how King Saul in the Bible grew envious of David’s victories and fame, fearing that David would one day replace him as king. Out of jealousy, Saul sought to destroy David. Similarly, you may face people who feel threatened by you - whether in your workplace, your church, or other areas of life—and who may try to bring you down. But David trusted God and clung to Him for protection. Even as Saul pursued David, entering his own home to kill him, God provided a way of escape through David’s wife. Saul pursued him relentlessly from city to city, and even the people who sheltered David betrayed him. Yet, when Saul finally tracked David down in a cave, God still delivered David, even placing Saul’s life in David’s hands as he found Saul sleeping.
In the end, God’s protection over David was evident, as those who sought to destroy him could not prevail. In the same way, God will preserve and protect you, and He will bring your enemies to a place of recognising His holy presence in your life. They would say, “We did all we could to bring you down, but it did not succeed.” That is the mighty preservation of our Almighty God. So, dear friend, come and take refuge in the Lord. Hide yourself in Him, and He will rescue you from the hands of the wicked.
PRAYER:
Lord Jesus, I come to You today, trusting in Your power to protect and preserve me. Thank You for being my refuge and shelter, guarding me from every threat and harm. Strengthen my heart to trust that no force or evil can prevail against Your mighty hand. Surround me with Your presence, and give me courage in the face of those who oppose me. Let Your protection be like a shield around me, guarding me and my loved ones. Bring peace to my spirit and remind me that, just as You delivered David, You are with me, delivering me from all wickedness. Thank You, Lord, for Your unbreakable promise to preserve my life. Amen.
