My dear friend, It's a joy to write to you today. Today's promise from God comes from Jeremiah 31:9, where the Lord says, "I will lead them beside streams of water on a level path where they will not stumble, because I am Israel’s father." In the same way, my dear friend, God will lead you on a straight path and beside streams of water. You might feel today that you don't have peace in your soul, that you're carrying a heavy burden, or that your heart is depressed. You may be longing for someone to care for you. Even in the mission God has given you or the purpose you need to fulfill, you may feel dry or disheartened, unsure if you should continue. But, my dear friend, in this situation, God will lead you beside streams of water and take care of you.

This is what happened in the life of Elijah. When he was running for his life from Jezebel, God spoke to him and directed him to a place to hide east of the Jordan. God said, "You will drink from the brook, and I have directed the ravens to supply you with food there." Even in his time of distress, God made him sit beside a brook of water, calming his soul and feeding him. That's how much God cares for us, my dear friend. While walking in the mission of our life, we often face obstacles and problems that disturb our hearts. We may question why God allows us to go through such trials. But even in those situations, God will feed you, take care of you, calm your soul, and make you sit beside a stream.

As the psalmist says in Psalm 23, "He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul." It is such a wonderful thing that our Lord does for us. Even in my life, when I was in college, far from my parents and living alone in a different city, I felt isolated. In that situation, God reminded certain people of my needs, and they prepared food for me and sent it, even from different states. God showed me how much He cared for me. In the same way, dear friend, you may need someone to care for you, help you, or simply listen to you. God will send you the right help at the right time. He will calm your soul and provide whatever you need. So take heart, my dear friend, and be strengthened in this journey of life. God will take care of you.

Prayer: 
Dear Heavenly Father, Thank You for Your promises and Your constant presence in my life. Today, I ask for Your guidance and peace. Lead me beside streams of water and on a straight path where I will not stumble. I bring before You my burdens, my worries, and my feelings of discouragement. Please calm my soul and provide the comfort and care that I need. Just as You cared for Elijah and led him to a place of refuge, I trust that You will also take care of me. Remind me of Your love and faithfulness, especially in times of distress. Send the right help and support when I need it, and give me the strength to continue on the mission You have for me. Thank You for being my Shepherd, for restoring my soul, and for providing for me in ways I cannot imagine. I place my trust in You, knowing that You will take care of me. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
