My dear friend, today we are meditating on Daniel 12:3, which says, “And those who are wise shall shine like the brightness of the sky above, like the stars forever and ever.” When you are wise, you will shine brightly like the sky.
What does wisdom mean? According to James 3:17, “Wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure, then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere.” Often, we confuse knowledge with wisdom. Knowledge is knowing what to say, but wisdom is knowing when to say it or whether to say it at all.
When we look at Jesus' wisdom in the Bible, we see how it attracted many people to come and listen to Him. The way He presented God's word was so captivating that many people even came to the wilderness to hear Him speak. Thousands and thousands gathered to listen to His words. He spoke in stories so that people could understand. In I Corinthians 1:24, it says, “Christ, the power of God and the wisdom of God.” And in Colossians 2:3, it says, “In whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.” Let us pray today to receive Jesus in our lives, who gives us power, wisdom, and knowledge.
When we don't know what to say or how to say it in front of people who may be hurting us, seeking an answer from us, or needing guidance from us, let us not rely on ourselves but instead turn to Jesus, in whom all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden. Even when you don't know what to say, God will teach you. He will give you the right words and the confidence to present them.
Perhaps you have a presentation coming up, need to meet important people, or need to speak to those who are hurting you. God will give you wisdom today. He will give you knowledge of what you need to say and how to say it. The Bible says in James 1:5, “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to them.” So today, let us receive this generous wisdom from God so that we will shine like stars in the sky.
PRAYER:
Heavenly Father, I come before You today seeking Your wisdom. I confess that I often don't know what to say or how to handle situations wisely—whether in my relationships, at work or even when facing those who hurt me. Please fill me with Your divine wisdom, guiding me to speak the right words, act in the right way, and remain sincere in all that I do. Lord, You are the ultimate Giver of Wisdom, and in You are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. Help me to receive Your presence fully today and let every word from my mouth be thoughtful, kind, and wise. Equip me, bless me, and lead me to walk in Your wisdom every moment. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
