Dear friend, according to Deuteronomy 20:4, the Bible says, “For the Lord your God is the One who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies to give you victory.” Before the people of Israel entered the promised land, Moses took time to brief the people on war strategies. He encouraged them to go forth and possess the blessing of God. In verse 1, Moses says, “When you go to war against your enemies and see horses and chariots and an army greater than yours, do not be afraid of them, because the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt, will be with you.”

In our personal lives, when we battle the problems we face or encounter people who seem greater than us, we can feel so discouraged. But dear friend, do not be afraid. God is with you. Just as the Lord promised the Israelites, He will bring you to a place of victory today. When the enemy rises up against you, the Holy Spirit will raise a standard against him. Never be afraid of the one who seems stronger. The Bible reminds us in 1 John 4:4, “The One who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.” You don’t need to fear what’s outside because what is inside of you is greater, dear friend.

Psalm 20:7 says, “Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God.” People who are rich in this world trust in their wealth and in themselves, but in the end, they stumble and fail. Yet, we who trust in the Lord will surely have victory, dear friend. The horse may be prepared for battle, but victory comes from the Lord.

In Exodus 17, when the Lord fought against the Amalekites and gave victory to the Israelites, Moses built an altar and named it “The Lord is my Banner.” This means, “The Lord is my Victory.” Because the Lord fought with them and delivered them from their enemies, Moses declared, “The Lord is my Banner.”

Dear friend, the Lord is with you, fighting your battles. Be still, and see the deliverance the Lord is bringing you today. The Egyptians you see today, you will never see again. The Lord will fight for you—you only need to trust in Him. Even today, you will have victory!

PRAYER:
Loving Lord, thank You for being with me in every battle I face. When enemies or challenges seem overwhelming, I trust in Your promise of victory. You are greater than anything in this world, and I find peace knowing You are fighting for me. I place my fears and worries at Your feet. Strengthen my faith, Lord, so that I can remain still and see Your deliverance. Help me to trust that, just as You rescued the Israelites, You will rescue me from every trial. I don’t rely on my own strength, but on Your power. You are my banner and my victory. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
