My precious child of God, I greet you in the mighty name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Today’s promise is from Psalm 37:18, which says, “The blameless spend their days under the LORD’s care, and their inheritance will endure forever.”

In the Bible, we read about many righteous people who walked closely with the Lord. Job was one of them. If you read Job 1:1 and 1:8, the Lord Himself testifies about him to Satan, saying Job was an upright and blameless person. However, even such people must go through tribulation. As Psalm 15:2 indicates, Job faced many trials and temptations in his life. Initially, he lost all his children. In Job 30:16, he says, "The days of affliction have taken hold of me." In the midst of his affliction, what did Job say? In Job 13:15, he declares, "Though He slay me, yet will I trust Him." In Job 23:10, he says, "When He has tested me, I shall come forth as gold."

My friend, in the midst of all his afflictions, Job looked to the Lord and clung to God at all times. Job 42:2 says, "I know that You can do everything and that no purpose of Yours can be withheld from You." Yes, my friend, we must walk in close communion with the Lord like Job. And then, according to the promise of God, our heritage will remain forever.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, I come before You today, grateful for Your constant presence and guidance in my life. Just as You knew the days of the blameless and promised that their heritage would remain forever, I trust in Your divine wisdom and care. Lord, I seek to walk closely with You, as Job did, striving to live an upright and blameless life. Even when trials and tribulations come my way, help me to remember Job's unwavering faith. Strengthen my faith so that I, too, may emerge from my tests as pure as gold. In times of affliction, I pray that I will always look to You and cling to Your promises. I acknowledge Your power and sovereignty, knowing that no purpose of Yours can be thwarted. Help me to maintain a close communion with You, trusting that, according to Your promise, my heritage will remain forever. Guide my steps, Lord, and let Your will be done in my life. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
