Dear friend, I know that God is blessing you in this wonderful month of December. It’s the Christmas season, and God has planned something special for you; A new gift every single day! Let’s find hope in Psalm 30:5, which says: “Weeping may tarry for the night, but joy comes with the morning.” A tremendous, abundant, overflowing joy is on its way, waiting to be revealed in your life. 

Yes, the season of weeping can be very difficult. It feels like night surrounds us with darkness everywhere, with no glimpse of a future. Sometimes, all we see is loss or despair, and it’s not easy. Yet, my friend, even in the midst of such times, God has something good planned for you. This verse assures us that the time of joy is surely coming. So, hold on to that promise and look forward to the joy ahead so you do not sink in sorrow.

As Romans 8:18 reminds us, “The present suffering is not worth comparing to the glory that will be revealed in us.” The glory that awaits you is far greater than any suffering you are enduring now. As the Scriptures say, “After you have suffered a little while, the Lord will establish you.” In fact, that’s what we sang in the 2022 Jesus Calls Promise Song, “Seerpaduthuvaar.”

I’ve seen trees in the U.S. during the harsh winter, growing drier and drier as their leaves lose strength and fall to the ground. The trees appear so bare, stripped of their beauty. But as the next year rolls around and summer begins to bloom, these very trees are suddenly covered with glorious, colourful leaves. They transform into something breathtakingly beautiful, drawing everyone to marvel at their splendour and capture photos beneath their shade.

My dear friend, in the same way, a time of glory is coming for your life. Your season of dryness and weeping will not last forever. Do not lose heart, but instead, let us turn to God and ask for the joy that is surely on its way. The best is yet to come!

PRAYER: 
Dear Lord, thank You for Your promise that joy comes in the morning, no matter how dark the night may seem. In the midst of my weeping and suffering, help me to hold onto Your Word and trust in Your goodness. Remind me that my present trials are nothing compared to the glory You have prepared for me. Please strengthen me to endure in knowing that You will establish me after this season of struggle. Lord, I trust You to bring restoration to my life. Fill my heart with hope and expectation for the joy and blessings that are yet to come. Thank You for planning something good even in difficult times and for the abundant joy ahead. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.
