Be Rewarded With Good Things.

Dr. Paul Dhinakaran
My precious friend, today’s promise is taken from Psalm 13:21 which says, “Trouble pursues the sinner, but the righteous are rewarded with good things.” Accordingly, the wicked people suffer troubles and dire consequences for their unrighteous deeds. But the righteous are rewarded with good things. Many times, both the righteous and the wicked suffer alike. But the Scripture says in Psalm 34:19, “Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all.” This is the difference, my friend! Trials and tribulations do come alike to both the righteous and the wicked. But the difference is that when the righteous go through afflictions, God’s reward is waiting at the end to bring good things into their life and break the power of every affliction over their life. At the same time, when afflictions come to the sinners, there is no help from God. They only get into further trouble and perish. In the Bible, we find Joseph remaining righteous in spite of the terrible hardships he had to go undergo. When he was thrown into prison for no fault of his, he still chose to remain righteous before God. The Lord rescued Joseph from all his afflictions and rewarded him by elevating him from his lowly state in prison to become the ruler of Egypt. My friend, today, are you saying that you have been falsely accused and suffering in life for no fault of yours? Have you been thrown into a dungeon-like situation with no way of escape? Do not be worried for the Lord is with you. You are a righteous person. Even in the midst of your trials and shame, reach out to God and start praising Him. Wait at the Lord’s feet patiently for Him to act on your behalf. He will make everything work unto good for you. At the right time, on the right day, at the right moment, in the right way, the Lord will intervene and turn every situation in your favour and will give you unexpected blessings, honour and favour that you have never imagined. He will never stop doing good to you. This will be your reward from the Lord! PRAYER: Loving Lord, thank You for speaking to me through Your Word. Thank You for making me Your righteous child. Lord, You have seen my afflictions and have known the troubles of my soul. I thank You, Lord, for You have never hid Your face from my cries for help. Thank You for giving me Your strength and grace to face every situation. Lord, I believe that You will rescue me from all my afflictions and will reward me with good things. Surely, Your blessings, goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
