My dear friend, it's a joy for me to greet you today. We're going to meditate on Isaiah 30:15, which says, "In quietness and trust is your strength." Yes, many times when we face problems in our life, maybe it's a difficult situation or a big mountain that we cannot move, we try to put all our effort into overcoming it. We cry, we murmur, we talk to everybody we know, we search here and there for help, and many times that causes us to lose our peace. However, we see a similar situation in the Bible where God speaks to Joshua. When the people of Israel were walking towards the Promised Land, they had to cross the city of Jericho, but the walls were so high that they could not pass through them. What could they have done? They could have made so much noise, they could have brought in all of their army, and they could have tried to bring the wall down.

But God commanded them to be quiet and walk around silently for six days around the wall of Jericho. It may have been so peculiar to them. Why is God telling us to stay silent when we know we are going to overcome this city? But just as God commanded Joshua, Joshua commanded the army, saying, "Do not give a war cry, do not raise your voices, do not say a word until the day I tell you to shout, then shout," as it says in Joshua 6:10. Being under the leadership of Moses, Joshua would have seen how the people of Israel would react. Maybe if they had relied on their own strength and shouted, or relied on their own wisdom, they would not have been able to conquer the city. But as they obeyed God and walked around silently for six days, we see on the seventh day, when they shouted as commanded, the walls came down. They received strength from the Lord, and because they trusted in Him, the walls fell.

Even in your life, God says, as it is in Psalm 46:10, be still and know that I am God. He will do everything for you. So listen to His instruction and receive His peace during your difficult situation. Remain in quietness and trust in Him, for that will be your strength. In our own life, when we were going through many difficult situations in our family, our first instinct as human beings is to search for help or clear our name or bring justice. But God always taught us to be silent and to trust in Him. He knows how to get us out of the situation. He allows things to happen for a reason, and in the end, His peace becomes our strength and His name is glorified through us. Every time we would go through something, God gave us His peace and taught us to trust only in Him. No man, no relative, no close friend, but only God. And time and time again, He gave us the victory. So if you're facing something difficult today, be still and trust in the Lord. Know that He is God reigning over your life, and His peace will be your strength today.

PRAYER:
Loving Lord, in the stillness of this moment, I come before You with a heart full of trust. Teach me to rest in Your presence and to find my strength not in my own efforts but in quietness and confidence in You. When my life feels overwhelming and the walls around me seem too tall to overcome, please help me to remember that Your ways are always higher. Give me the courage to be silent when You ask me to wait, and the faith to trust that You are at work even when I see no sign. Let Your peace reign in my heart and guide me through every trial. Let my life glorify You, not just in my victories but in the stillness of my surrender. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
