Dear friend, it's a joy to meditate on God's Word. As Jeremiah 15:16 says, "Your words were found, and I ate them, and your words became to me a joy and the delight of my heart." Eating the Word of God means listening intently whenever God speaks to us, and going deep into His Word daily. Just like eating bread sustains our body, God’s Word sustains our soul. That’s why Jesus says in Matthew 4:4, "Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God." The Word, when hidden in our hearts, becomes a blessing for others, bringing joy and spiritual nourishment.

We cannot take God’s Word for granted. It is not something to be skimmed or randomly read. We must read it chapter by chapter, day by day, because God has a specific word for us every day. Jesus said in John 6:63, “The words I have spoken to you are Spirit and they are life.” When God’s Word enters us, it gives strength to our bones, healing to our body, and joy to our heart. Like a treasure hidden in our hearts, it makes our whole being rejoice. When it's on our lips, it becomes a message for others. When it's in our hands, it's a weapon of faith. As Psalm 119:103 says, “How sweet Your words taste to me, they are sweeter than honey.”

Those who meditate on God’s Word day and night will prosper. As seen in Matthew 15, people followed Jesus for three days without eating, because His words were sweeter than food and gave strength to their bodies. In compassion, Jesus fed them with bread and fish, showing that He not only feeds us spiritually but also provides for our physical needs. John 6:35 reminds us, “Jesus is the bread of life. Whoever comes to Him will never go hungry.” Through the promise verse we receive each year through my husband, Dr. Paul Dhinakaran, and the daily promise verse we meditate on every day through television programmes, God continues to nourish us. As II Peter 1:19 says, God’s Word is a sure word of prophecy. Through it, Jesus is revealed to us and through us, He is revealed to the world. That is how we find God’s Word and eat it. May His Word strengthen, nourish, and refresh you every single day.

PRAYER:
Loving Lord, thank You for the gift of Your Word, which is so sweet, so life-giving, and so powerful. Like Jeremiah, let Your words come to me and help me to consume them with joy. Let Your word become the delight of my heart and the strength of my body. Lord, help me to hunger not for bread alone, but for every word that comes from You. As I meditate on Your Word daily, please reveal Yourself to me. Let Your word become a treasure hidden in my heart, a message on my lips, and a weapon in my hands. Let Your divine Word heal me and guide me in every step. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
