My precious child of God, I greet you in the precious name of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Today, the promise given to us is from John 14:13, “And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.” If you read Judges 13:18, you’ll find the father of Samson speaking with an angel of God. He asks, “What is your name?” And the angel of the Lord replies, “Why do you ask my name? It is wonderful.” It was not just an angel. It was God Himself, speaking in the form of an angel, encouraging him.
In the same way, God also spoke to Moses. In Exodus 6:3, He says that He appeared to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and now to Moses, as the Great Jehovah. They could see Him in person, face to face. Yes, He is God Almighty, but you can also experience Him personally and see Him in person when you are filled with the presence of God. You can be filled with His presence. So many times in my own life, when I was dejected, depressed, and had lost hope, I felt the presence of God. He appeared to me, sometimes like an angel, or in other forms and encouraged me, reminding me that He is with me at all times.
Yes, my friend, the Lord is with you at all times. David himself declares in Psalm 8:1, “O Lord, our Lord, how excellent is Your name in all the earth!” And Proverbs 18:10 says, “The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe.” Yes, my friend, throughout all these 86 years, the Lord has been with me. I have seen His presence, I have felt His presence, and He has spoken to me, especially in times when I had lost all hope. That’s why I am happy in the Lord, rejoicing in Him. I have received all His blessings. In the same way, you, too, can be abundantly blessed. Don’t look to a man or a woman. Cling on to this God. His name is Wonderful!
PRAYER:
Loving Lord, thank You for the promise that whatever I ask in Your name, You will do. Your name is wonderful, full of power and glory. Just as You revealed Yourself to Samson’s father and to Moses, reveal Yourself to me and fill me with Your holy presence. Let me experience You personally, face to face. You are my strong tower; I run to You for safety and strength. Keep me from depending on people and teach me to cling to You alone. Let Your name be glorified through my life. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.
