My friend, each day God gives a new mercy. Today we are here to receive that mercy, humbling ourselves, saying, "Please, Lord, speak to us." He'll be merciful and come to you with joy. Isaiah 25:4 says, "Lord, you have been a stronghold for the helpless." And today, He looks at your situation and how helpless you have been. With nobody supporting you, nobody coming to encourage you, nobody helping you or providing for you, you feel like an orphan.
With no support, God looks at you, my friend. All we need to say is, as per Psalm 121, "Lord, You are my helper. I look to You for my help, the maker of heaven and earth." He'll become a stronghold for you. He's a stronghold for the helpless. Jesus told the story of a man who was robbed and beaten on the road. Everything was taken from him, even his clothes. He was left half-dead. A priest came by and paid no attention. A Levite followed, but he too did not help. But a Samaritan man came, saw him, and rushed to his aid. He bound his wounds and took him to an inn, where he made him rest.
In the same way, God says, "I'll send you My help." Even if others turned away from you in your time of sickness, despite the times you helped them before, you may feel all alone now. But look to Him for your help. He says, "I am your ever-present help in times of trouble. I am the one who will always help you." Sometimes He allows us to feel helpless from others so that He can personally help us so that we would depend only on Him. Like the Samaritan, He will send help mysteriously. God's help will come to you today. Don't worry.
PRAYER:
Loving Lord, in moments when I feel abandoned, unseen, and overwhelmed, I turn to You, for You are my stronghold and my refuge. You see my helplessness, and You never look away. Others may forget, but You remember. Like the Good Samaritan, You come close to me when I’m hurting. You bind up my wounds and carry me to a place of rest. Thank You, Lord, for allowing me to depend only on You, for showing me that when human help fails, Your help arrives. I lift my eyes to You, the Maker of heaven and earth. I trust in Your timing, Your mercy, and in Your miraculous ways. Today, I receive Your promised help, and I receive Your love and peace. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
