Dear friend, I am thrilled as we step into this new year, filled with anticipation for the beautiful things God is about to unfold in our lives. His promises are sure, guiding us every step of the way, as declared in Psalm 91:11, “He will command His angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways.” What an assurance it is to know that for His people, God commands His angels to protect and guard them. There’s no need to fear, for His angels are watching over you.

The Bible is rich with examples of how God has done this in extraordinary ways. Time and again, God sent His angels to fight for the nation of Israel. The angels went before them, waging battles and securing victories for God’s people. God’s servant, Elijah, in a moment of deep despair and waning faith, found himself physically and spiritually depleted. God, in His mercy, sent an angel to revive him, strengthening his faith, renewing his body, and equipping him to press on. God safeguarded Elijah’s path, ensuring he did not lose hope.

Think also of Joseph, who was engaged to Mary. When he learned of her miraculous conception before their marriage, he was ready to step away quietly. But God intervened, sending an angel to assure him, “This is no ordinary child; this child is conceived by My Spirit. A holy child.” Through the angel’s message, God protected Joseph’s future, encouraging him to marry Mary and to live out their divine calling as a family.

At times, angels appear to us in visions, as they did in the Bible, providing strength and guidance. Sometimes, the Lord Himself comes to us in angelic form. And at other times, He sends human beings as His angels, ordinary people who act as His messengers to help and protect us. Yet, through it all, we have this unshakable promise that says He will command His angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways. He will not let your foot slip. Would you lift your heart in praise for this incredible promise and receive it with gratitude?

PRAYER:
Dear Heavenly Father, as I step into this new year, I thank You for the assurance of Your promises. Thank You for commanding Your angels to guard me and protect my path. Strengthen my faith as You did for Elijah, and guide me as You guided Joseph. Help me to trust in Your provision. Thank You for Your presence that surrounds me and for the angelic host in charge of me. You never let my foot slip. I lift my heart in praise for Your mercy. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.
