My precious child of God, I greet you in the name of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Today, we will meditate on Psalm 71:21, which declares, "You shall increase my greatness and comfort me on every side." Our God is the God of all comfort. My friend, are you shedding tears of sorrow—tears that feel like they flow from the depths of your soul? A few days ago, as I was praying in the presence of God, memories of my beloved daughter, Angel, who passed away at just 17 years old, came flooding back. Alone in my room, I broke down, crying and crying, overwhelmed by grief. But in that very moment, a divine comfort from the Lord filled my heart. I was no longer alone. His presence embraced me with unexplainable peace.
In the same way, the Lord is here to comfort you. As the Scripture says, "He will comfort me on every side." King David proclaims in Psalm 23:1, "The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want." Every verse in Psalm 23 speaks of how the Lord comforts and cares for His children. That same loving Shepherd is with you right now. He sees your tears, He hears your cries, and He says, "My child, I have come to comfort you."
The Word of God calls Him the God of all comfort. I, too, have walked through the valley of loss. I lost my first child when it was just three months in my womb. Then, I lost a baby boy. Years later, my 17-year-old daughter was taken from me. And then, my husband. One loss after another. Oh, how I wept! My heart ached with sorrow. Yet, in all my grief, the God of comfort never left me. He strengthened me, carried me, and enabled me to continue in ministry despite the pain. His presence and blessings became my encouragement.
My friend, are you crying today? The Lord says, "I am the God of all comfort. Come to Me, My child. I will comfort you. I will give you everything you need, more than you can desire or even imagine. Stop crying, and trust in Me." Let us kneel before the Lord and commit our lives into His hands. Pour out your heart to Him, for He is listening. Whatever you need, He will provide. Whatever burden you carry, He will lift. He is the God who comforts, the God who blesses, and the God who restores.
PRAYER:
Dear loving Father, I come before You, seeking Your comforting embrace. You are the God of all comfort, my refuge in times of sorrow. Wipe away my tears and fill my heart with Your divine peace. When I feel abandoned, remind me that You are always by my side. Lift every burden weighing me down and restore my joy. Increase my strength and help me trust in Your perfect plan. Let Your presence surround me, bringing healing to my soul. Bless me beyond my expectations and supply all my needs. Thank You for loving me unconditionally and never letting me go. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
