Dear friend, may the Lord bless you abundantly, as declared in Deuteronomy 28:5. The Bible says, “Your basket and your kneading bowl will be blessed.” Another translation puts it beautifully: “You will have plenty of bread to eat.” The ‘basket’ refers to the container in which the Israelites carried their harvest, and the ‘bowl’ was used for mixing flour, water, and oil to make bread. These items were part of their daily lives, symbolising their sustenance and livelihood. God promised to bless them with abundance and prosperity in the ordinary, everyday aspects of their lives. Similarly, the Lord blesses our daily lives with His provision and care. He knows what is best for us and intervenes at the right time with His abundance.
In Matthew 6:25-34, Jesus reassures us of God's unfailing care for His people. He encourages us not to worry about our needs because our heavenly Father knows exactly what we require and will provide for us. Everything falls into place when we put God first in our lives. As Jesus said in Matthew 6:33: “Seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” Let us make it our priority to put God first and strive to lead a holy life. When we do this, all the material blessings we need will follow. God is in total control and ensures that we have all that is necessary for our good and for His glory.
Let me share the inspiring testimony of a dear brother named Pradhan. He was working as a supervisor in a plumbing company, but during the COVID-19 pandemic, he lost his job. His wife, Rashmita, turned to the Prayer Tower, earnestly praying for her husband. The family enrolled in the Family Blessing Plan and, even during their time of lack, faithfully gave offerings to the ministry. The Prayer Intercessors at the Prayer Tower prayerfully encouraged them to start a new company, which they accepted as a word from God. Incredibly, just one day after starting the company, they received a call offering them work. Within a week, Brother Pradhan earned 60,000 rupees, and the Lord continued to bless them day by day. Today, he employs 20 people under his leadership. One day, my husband also prayed for Bro. Pradhan, asking God to provide him with a home. And today, he is joyfully living in his own house with his family. What a wonderful God we serve!
Indeed, God blesses our everyday lives. He will bless your basket and your kneading bowl, and you will have plenty to eat. May this promise come true in your life. Trust in Him, seek His kingdom, and watch how He works wonders for you.
PRAYER:
Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your unfailing love and care, as You promised in Your Word. Bless my ‘basket and kneading bowl,’ and fill my life with Your abundance and provision. Help me to trust You completely and to believe that You will provide all I need in Your perfect timing. Teach me to seek Your kingdom and righteousness above all else, Lord. Let me never worry but instead rest in Your promises of provision and care. Strengthen my faith as I put You first in every aspect of my life. Let my daily sustenance and blessings testify to Your greatness and love. I praise You, Lord, for always being in total control of my life. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
