My beloved friend in Christ, I greet you in the mighty name of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Today, let us meditate on the beautiful promise of God from John 15:7, where the Lord Jesus says, “If you abide in Me and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.” Hallelujah! What a beautiful experience this is. Let us carefully consider what this verse teaches. We are called to abide in the Lord and His words, allowing His words to dwell richly in our hearts. This is the essence of a deep Christian life. Reading the word of God should not be a mere formality. Instead, we should linger on the scriptures, reading and rereading, until we truly understand their meaning and are blessed by them. That is what it means to abide in the Lord and for His words to abide in us. When we do this, the promise is astounding. “We will ask what we desire, and it will be done for us.” What a great blessing!
The Bible encourages us to "eat" the word of God, just as we enjoy eating our favourite food. In the same way, let us hunger for the word of God and consume it as much as we can. As John 14:23 says, “The Holy Father will be pleased with you. The Father and the Son will come and dwell in you.” Hallelujah! Similarly, Luke 11:28 declares, “Blessed are those who hear the word of God and keep it.” My friend, how much do you love the word of God? How much time do you spend reading it? Begin your day with scripture. Rise early in the morning, read the word of God, and feel His mighty presence. Through this practice, the Lord will fill you with His presence in a powerful way.
I can testify to this truth in my own life. Every day, I wake up at 4:30 in the morning to spend time in prayer and in the word of God. This time fills me with the joy and presence of the Lord in a way that sustains me. Some people ask, “You are so old, how do you live alone?” But I am never truly alone. The Lord is with me always because His word abides in me. The presence of God fills my heart with rejoicing. What a glorious life it is to dwell in the presence of the Lord! My beloved friend, follow this simple example, and your life will be richly blessed. Abide in the Lord, let His word abide in you, and whatever you desire, it will be done for you. Would you pray and receive this blessing today?
PRAYER:
Dear loving Father, thank You for calling me to abide in You and for allowing Your Word to abide in my heart. Please help me to linger more on Your word and understand its meaning, and not just read it out of formality. Grant me a hunger for Your word so that I can consume it daily as my spiritual nourishment. Let Your word dwell richly within me, guiding my thoughts, desires, and actions every day. Father, as I meditate on Your promises, fill me with Your mighty presence and divine peace. Teach me to rise early, seek Your face, and be blessed by the wisdom of Your holy scriptures. Thank You for the assurance that as I commit to abide in You, my desires will be fulfilled according to Your will. Help me to live a glorious life in You, continually blessed by Your promises and grace. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
