My dear friend, it is a joy to greet you today. We will meditate on Proverbs 12:28, which says, “The path of righteousness is life, and in its pathway there is no death.” God desires for us to walk in the path of righteousness, my friend, for it leads to life. In this pathway, there is no death. Perhaps today, you feel that everything in your life is leading to death. You may feel far away from the Lord. Perhaps this distance has caused sickness to torment you, failure in your job, struggles in your business, financial losses, or an overwhelming sense of guilt from sin. You might wonder, "If I go to God, will He take me back?"

We see an answer to this question in the Bible, in the story of the prodigal son found in Luke 15:11 onward. When the prodigal son was in his father’s house, he had everything he needed; joy, peace, riches, food, and the assurance that his father would care for him. But when he took his share of the inheritance and chose to go his own way, away from his father’s house, his life began to crumble. He spent all his money, and when it was gone, his friends abandoned him. The joy, peace, and assurance he once had disappeared. He found himself living in filth, consumed by loneliness and guilt, with no food, no shelter, and no one to care for him. His life was leading to death. Then he thought, “Let me go back to my father’s house. Even if it’s as a servant, I will return.” But when he returned, his father embraced him as a son, restoring him to his place in the family. He was given riches, food in abundance, and joy beyond measure. All his guilt was erased, replaced by the fullness of life that comes from being with his father.

Yes, my dear friend, when we remain in our Heavenly Father’s house, our lives are led in the path of righteousness. This path leads to life, life in abundance. There is no lack in the Father’s house, only joy, prosperity, and the assurance that our Father is always with us. Whatever trials come - whether sickness, sin, or temptation, we can overcome them because our Father walks with us. With Him by your side, you are always on the path of righteousness, the path of life. So today, make a decision to remain in the Father’s house, with Jesus by your side. He loves you and provides for you, ensuring you lack nothing. Will you thank Him and pray, asking Him to keep you always in His home and for you to always have Jesus in yours?
