My precious child of God, I greet you in the mighty name of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Today, we will meditate on a beautiful promise found in James 1:17, which says, “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.” What a beautiful promise this is! From the Father of Lights, every good gift comes.

Yes, my friend, it is coming to you. You may say that you are in darkness, that nobody is there to help you, and that there is no way out of the great problem you are facing. Worry is consuming you. You might even think, "Should I end my life? Is that my only hope?" Are you in trouble? Remember this promise, “From the Father of lights, all good gifts come.” For this to happen, you must have close communion with this God. And if you believe, you will see even greater blessings. Psalm 85:12 says, “The Lord shall give you what is good.”

How can you receive the goodness of God? In Psalm 23:1, David declares, “The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want.” Yes, my dear friend who is burdened by many worries, the same will happen to you. Cling to God. Make Him your Shepherd. Turn to Him at all times, and He will fill your life with His goodness and mercy. As Psalm 23:6 says, “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow you all the days of your life.” Do not be troubled. Hold on to God tightly, and you will see His goodness flow into your life.

PRAYER:
Loving heavenly Father, I thank You for Your promise that every good and perfect gift comes from You. Lord, in times of darkness and despair, help me to cling to You and not lose hope. Let Your goodness and mercy follow me all the days of my life. Be my Shepherd, Lord, and lead me to green pastures and still waters. Remove every burden of worry, fear, and sorrow from my heart. Fill my life with Your peace and assurance that You will provide all I need. I believe that You will bring me out of every trouble and into Your glorious light. Thank You, Lord, for Your unchanging love and for the abundant blessings to come. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
