Dear friend, according to Psalm 116:2, may the Lord richly bless you. This verse says so tenderly, “Because He bends down to listen, I will pray as long as I have breath.” God is always waiting, eager to listen to you. That’s why David says in verse 1, “I love the Lord because He hears my voice and my prayer for mercy. Because He answers my prayers, I love Him.” But our love for Him shouldn’t be based on answers alone. We have so many reasons to love the Lord! In fact, we love Him only because He first loved us, so deeply that He laid down His life for us. Our love for God is simply a response to the unmatched love He’s already poured out on us.

David said, “I will pray as long as I have breath.” That’s why he also said, “I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth” (Psalm 34:1). In Psalm 139:7, he cries, “Where can I go from Your Spirit? Where can I flee from Your Presence?” David longed to love and be near the Lord always. In Psalm 40:1–2, David testifies, “I waited patiently for the Lord to help me, and He turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the pit of destruction, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, making my steps secure.” Yes, the Lord heard David’s cry, and He hears yours, too.

We often say God is a silent listener, but never doubt, He is always listening intently. Don’t give up, dear friend. Keep loving the Lord. Keep praising the Lord. Keep praying. Never give up. In Mark 10:48, the blind man cried out, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!” Many tried to silence him, but he cried even louder. And what happened? Jesus stopped. He couldn’t walk past that cry. He said, “Call him.” And the people said to the blind man, “Take heart. Get up. He is calling you.” And of course, the Lord healed him. The Lord stood still to listen, and He will stand still for you, too.

Maybe you’ve cried in secret, alone in your room or even under the running water of a bathroom tap. But not one tear goes unnoticed. God counts your tears. He listens when no one else does. You might feel like no one cares or hears your heart, but the Lord bends down to listen to your voice. Today, your prayer will be answered. Just like the blind man, cry out in faith. He will answer.

PRAYER:
Loving Lord, thank You for bending down to hear my cries. Even when I feel alone, You are near, listening to my prayers, with utmost love. Like David, I will pray as long as I have breath. Lord, You hear my cries in secret, and You hold every tear in Your tear bottle. Lord Jesus, You stood still for the blind man, and I know that You are standing still for my cries today to do a miracle in my life. I believe that You will lift me out of my pit and set my feet on solid ground. Let Your mercy surround me and give me hope again. You are the lifter of my head, and I will love You forever, for You have loved me first. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.
