My precious friend, in this brand-new month, God is going to bless the work of your hands. You may say, "I’ve worked hard but seen no reward, no appreciation, no increase, no promotion. My business isn’t yielding; my studies are not fruitful. I feel like a failure." But the Lord says, “From now on, I will bless the work of your hands. Whatever you do will prosper. Let not your heart be troubled.” As it is written in Isaiah 3:10, “Say to the righteous that it shall be well with them, for they will eat the fruit of their actions.” Yes, are you righteous before God and people? God will honour you, and you will enjoy the fruit of your labour. Proverbs 12:14 confirms, “From the fruit of their lips people are filled with good things, and the work of their hands brings them reward.” Many speak but don’t work. But God commands in I Thessalonians 4:12 to “lead a quiet life, mind your own business, and work with your hands.”
God has a purpose for each day. Jesus said, “I must be about My Father’s business” and “work while it is still day” because “night is coming when no one can work.” Pray each morning, saying, “Lord, what is the business for me today?” Write it down and ask for His grace to accomplish it. The Holy Spirit will empower you. I rise early to seek God today at 2:50 AM, and He gives me guidance for my life, my family, our institutions - Jesus Calls, Karunya and SEESHA, and the multitudes who seek prayer. By His Spirit, I do His will and bless millions. A little one becomes a thousand. A small one becomes a mighty nation. That same grace will come to you. I once noticed in a saree shop that even though there were many staff standing idle, one supervisor quietly began folding the rejected sarees with great care, as if they were gold. Inspired by her example, other employees joined in, and the very saree that was dismissed was purchased. She gave no orders, just worked with her hands, and the sale and reward followed. That’s how it is in life. So, stop talking, start praying, then work with love, passion and with the Holy Spirit’s power. Then, whatever you do will prosper.
Who does God bless? Psalm 128:1–2 says, “Blessed is everyone who fears the Lord, who walks in His ways. You will eat the fruit of your hands, be happy, and it will be well with you.” Do all things in the fear of the Lord, and your reward will be joyful. Joseph feared God, even when falsely accused and thrown into jail. Still, everything he did prospered because he honoured God. Eventually, he was lifted to lead the nation. False accusations may come, but fear God, and He will exalt you. As in Proverbs 31:10-31, “A wife of noble character... let her works bring her praise at the city gate.” Don’t complain like Martha. Be like Mary, who sat at Jesus’ feet. Pour out your heart to God, love others, and He will bless your family. Your children will call you blessed, and your home will be honoured.
Finally, in Isaiah 65:19–24, the Lord promises, “No more weeping or crying.” Maybe you feel everything is over—your job, health, family, or business, but call to the Lord. He says, “Before they call, I will answer.” Build your life again and enjoy the work of your hands. Your children will be blessed. The hand of the Lord is coming upon you right now to give you this grace. Have a praying life and a working life. Fear the Lord. Work with your hands. Love everyone. And you will enjoy the reward.
PRAYER:
Dear Father, thank You for this new month and for Your loving promise that You will bless the work of my hands. Though I feel unfruitful and discouraged, I place my trust in Your unchanging Word. Fill me with the fear of God, and grant me the strength, grace, and passion to walk in Your ways. Holy Spirit, please lead me daily, show me my purpose, and empower me to fulfill it joyfully. Let the fruit of my labour be a testimony of Your goodness. Help me to love, to serve, to pray, to work faithfully and to reap my reward. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
