Dear friend, today we will meditate on John 1:14, which says: “The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us. We have seen His glory, the glory of the One and Only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.” This is the beautiful story of Christmas. Jesus is God, who came in the flesh. During the Old Testament period, when Moses asked God, "What is Your name?" the Lord replied, “I AM who I AM.” Back then, the Lord was invisible to His people. But today, Jesus has become the visible Word for us.

What is this Word? The Bible tells us that “faith comes by hearing, and hearing comes by the Word of God.” It is only through the Word of God that we have faith. In John 1:1, it says: “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” This Word is none other than Jesus Christ. John 1:3 further emphasises: “Through Him, all things were made; without Him, nothing was made that has been made.” Jesus is the Word, and through Him, we witness God’s glory. This glory reminds us of the Old Testament wilderness tabernacle. God's presence and glory were visible to the people of Israel in the pillar of smoke and cloud and in the fire. Exodus 40:34 says, “Then the cloud covered the tent of meeting, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle.”

In the New Testament, God's presence is revealed in the living Word. Jesus tabernacled among us as a person. That is why we call Him Emmanuel, God with us. As described in Matthew 17:2, when Jesus was transfigured before His disciples, Peter, James, and John, His face shone like the sun, and His clothes became as white as light. His appearance was transformed into a glorious light. Peter later testified in II Peter 1:16: “We saw His majestic splendour with our own eyes.”

You, too, will see Jesus in His glory. When does that happen? As you read and go deeper into the Word of God, God, who is Jesus, dwells among us, and we are transformed from glory to glory. This is why Jesus came into the world in human form. Jesus is the Word. He declares, “I am the way, the truth, and the life.” Yes, Jesus is the Truth, and when the Truth comes, He sets you free. What a loving God He is to come into this world, live among us, and share His glory with us. From this day forward, celebrate Christmas with Jesus at the center of your heart. God bless you, dear friend. I wish you a very, very blessed Christmas.

PRAYER:
Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for the gift of Your Son, Jesus Christ, who came in the flesh to dwell among us. Thank You for revealing Your glory and truth through Him, the living Word. As I meditate on Your Word, fill my heart with faith and transform me from glory to glory. Help me to see Jesus in His majesty and experience His presence in my day-to-day life. Let Your truth set me free and guide me on the path of life. Let this Christmas be a time to celebrate Your love, grace, and glory in my heart. Draw me closer to You and deepen my understanding of Your Word. I honour and adore You, Lord, for Your goodness and eternal faithfulness. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.
