Dear friend, there is great hope in Jesus today and always. Stay strong, trusting in Him, for His Word comes to you today through Proverbs 15:6, “The house of the righteous contains great treasure, but the income of the wicked brings ruin.” Yes, God honours the righteous. Their house is filled with great treasures. This is the blessing the Lord bestows upon those who cling to Him and remain steadfast in Him. When we look at David and Solomon, we see how God ultimately blessed them with tremendous wealth, more than anyone else in the land. Even in my grandfather's life, this was true. But before pouring out His blessings, God tests us. He refines us, allowing us to go through seasons of famine and dryness to see if we are truly trustworthy.
Many who claim to follow Jesus turn away during these times of testing. Even those who call themselves God's children may lose faith. But in the midst of these trials, God is watching whether we are faithful enough for Him to entrust us with great treasure. And in that moment, even if we lack material wealth, He reveals Himself as the greatest treasure of all. When we have nothing, we will still feel like we have everything because we have Him. He teaches us that the greatest riches in life is having Him above all else so that when He does bless us with worldly wealth, we will not be attached to it but will treasure Him above everything.
This is exactly what happened to Abraham. God blessed him with vast lands, great wealth, and the precious gift of a son. These were treasures in his life. But before granting him these blessings, God tested him. Where would Abraham’s trust lie? Would he place his faith in wealth? In the treasures God gave? Or would he trust in God alone? Abraham chose to trust God above all else, and because of his unwavering faith, God counted it as righteousness and expanded and blessed him abundantly. Today, my friend, God is going to make your house righteous and fill it with great treasure. Shall we ask Him for this grace? God will make your house full.
PRAYER:
Dear Lord, help me to remain steadfast in You, no matter the season I face. Even in times of dryness, I choose to trust and cling to You alone. You are my hope, my strength, and my refuge. Let the house of the righteous flourish according to Your Word. Fill my home with Your great treasures, with both spiritual and material blessings alike. Expand my territory and increase all that You have given me. Let the little I have multiply by Your divine hand. Pour out the blessings of multiplication and abundance upon my life. Yet above all, Lord, may You always be my greatest treasure. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
