Dear friend, it is a joy to greet you today. In Psalm 18:16, the Bible says, "He reached down from on high and took hold of me; He drew me out of deep waters." Here, "deep waters" refers to the floods of affliction.

When we face affliction, it surrounds us on all sides and can feel like we are submerged in deep waters. In Psalm 69:1, David cries out to God, saying, "Save me, O God, for the waters have come up to my neck." David was surrounded by enemies and felt like he was drowning. However, God did not abandon him; he pulled David out of the deep waters and saved him from drowning. That's why David expressed in Psalm 66:12, "You let people ride over our heads. We went through fire and water, but you brought us into a place of abundance." This is how the Lord takes hold of our hands in the midst of deep waters.

The disciples of Jesus also felt the same way when they were on the waters of Galilee. In Matthew 8:23-27, we read about an incident of the disciples at the sea. A storm hit the sea while the disciples were on a boat with Jesus. The disciples were terrified and woke Jesus up from His sleep, saying, “Lord, please help us. We are drowning in the sea.” Jesus immediately woke up and rebuked the disciples, saying, “You people of little faith, why are you afraid?” Then He rebuked the sea, and the storm and the wind calmed immediately.

Dear friend, if you are going through floods of affliction, please do not lose heart and do not be afraid. The Lord Jesus is in the midst of your trouble. He will take hold of your hand and pull you out of deep waters.

PRAYER:
Dear Lord, thank You for encouraging me with Your loving promise. Please stretch forth Your mighty hand and lift me out of the deep waters. I feel like I am drowning in deep agony each day. Please remember me and lift me up from every situation that is pulling me down. Let every curse and oppression be removed from my life in Your mighty name. Please hold on to my hand, deliver me from all my troubles, and let Your restoration happen in every area of my life. Thank You for hearing my cries for help and performing a miracle. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.
