Dear friend, it is a joy to greet you today! Together, let us meditate on how the Lord Jesus desires to bless us. We see this truth in Ephesians 2:6, where He declares, “And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with Him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus.” What an incredible honour it is to be seated with Him!

To grant us this privilege, the Lord bestows upon us His own name, making us one with Him. The Bible tells us that He places His name upon our foreheads as we become His children. With the name of Jesus comes great honour and exaltation. As bearers of His name, we are lifted to a place of high esteem, seated with Him in heavenly realms. For this very reason, my friend, God raises us up with Christ. He delivers us from the sinful effects of man, resurrecting us from our sins and lifting us to be with Him. We are then positioned in the high realms, united with Jesus in glory. We see this transformation in the life of Jonah. When the prophet Jonah chose to disobey God and follow his own ways, he fell into sin. As a result, God allowed him to be thrown into the sea and swallowed by a great fish. In the depths of darkness, Jonah realised his mistake and cried out, “Lord, forgive me.” In His mercy, the Lord raised him up, delivering him from the fish and restoring his life to glory.

When Jonah obeyed God and walked in the right direction, the Lord honoured him with great authority. The king and the people of Nineveh were terrified at the word of Jonah. Even the king himself trembled at the message of God’s prophet, whom the Lord had glorified. Through Jonah, God brought the salvation of an entire city, granting him divine power and an exalted position. This is what happens when God lifts you up to be with Him. He transforms, honours, and empowers you for His glory!

PRAYER:
Dear Lord, I thank You for raising me up with Christ Jesus and seating me in heavenly places. Thank You for placing Your holy name upon me and making me one with You. Lord, deliver me from sin and lift me up to walk in Your righteousness. Let me always carry the honour of Your name and live in obedience to Your will. Like Jonah, help me to recognise my mistakes and turn back to You in repentance. Grant me divine authority to speak Your word and bring transformation to others. Let my life reflect Your power and salvation, drawing many into Your kingdom. Exalt me according to Your purpose so that I can glorify You in all I do. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
