Dear friend, today we are going to reflect on II Peter 1:3, which declares, "His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness through the knowledge of Him who called us to His own glory and excellence." Through God’s power, we receive everything from Him. The first step in this journey is gaining knowledge of God, and ultimately, He grants us His glory and excellence. You may wonder how we can receive all these things from God. The answer lies in Philippians 1:6, where the Bible assures us, "The Lord who has begun a good work will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ."

God has already begun His good work in your life, and He will complete it. He provides everything we need. Some may pray, “Lord, give me more of Your Holy Spirit,” but God has already given us everything through the power of His Spirit. Rather than asking for more of the Holy Spirit, we must allow Him to strengthen our faith, for as the Bible says, “He is the Author and Finisher of our faith.” I Peter 5:10 further assures us, "God will restore you, make you strong, firm, and steadfast."

When God gives, He does a complete and perfect work. The perfection of godliness is what we call glory and excellence. When we look at the life of Enoch, as recorded in Genesis 5:24, "Enoch walked faithfully with God. Then he was no more because God took him away." Just as God’s work in Enoch’s life was complete, filling him with His glorious presence, so too will He transform us. II Corinthians 3:18 affirms this truth, as it mentions, "We are being transformed into His image from glory to glory." This transformation is only possible through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Though we are unworthy to receive such a great gift, God, in His grace, has granted us all things to enjoy spiritually. He even calls us "His chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, and God's special possession." Finally, as the Holy Spirit completes His work in us, we truly become God’s chosen people, set apart to bless millions in this world. May the Spirit of excellence rest upon you. May you grow in holiness and be transformed into His very image. Amen.

PRAYER:
Dear Lord, I thank You for Your divine power that grants me all things for life and godliness. Fill my heart with the knowledge of You so that I will walk in Your glory and excellence. Strengthen my faith, Lord, for You are the Author and Finisher of my faith. Help me to trust in Your perfect work, knowing that You will complete what You have begun. Holy Spirit, transform me daily into the image of Christ, from glory to glory. Like Enoch, let me walk faithfully with You, dwelling in Your glorious presence. Even in my unworthiness, You have called me Your chosen one and so I thank You for Your grace. Use me, Lord, as a vessel of blessing to others, reflecting Your holiness and love. Let the Spirit of excellence rest upon me so that I can glorify You in all I do.  In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
