My dear friend, today God has given you a beautiful promise from Isaiah 60:19, which says, “The Lord will be your everlasting light, and your God will be your glory.” I know you long for your life to be filled with sunshine, and God desires the same for you. In fact, He wants you to be His sunshine! This reminds me of a time when I bought a T-shirt for my youngest daughter, Stella Ramola. It had the words, “You are my sunshine.” Every time I looked at it, I would pray, “Lord, let my daughter be a shining star.” This is the heart of our God, too. That’s why He promises, “I will be your everlasting light. I will be your glory.”

Sadly, many people in the world ignore God and seek light in all the wrong places. But the Bible says in Psalm 89:15, “Blessed are the people who know the joyful sound; blessed are those who walk in the light of Your presence.” Truly, when we walk in God’s light, we are blessed beyond measure. We hear the joyful sound of His voice every time we look to Him.

God’s Word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path. That’s why Paul reminds us in Ephesians 5:11, “Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness but live as children of light.” The Lord Jesus Christ is the true light of the world. Whoever receives His life-giving light will never walk in darkness again, for He is full of light, and there is no darkness in Him. When we fix our eyes on Jesus, our faces become radiant with His glory. He fills us with the Holy Spirit, enabling us to shine in this dark world. As the Bible says in II Corinthians 3:18, we are progressively transformed into His image, moving from one degree of glory to another. Without the Holy Spirit, we cannot live victoriously in this dark world.

Yes, Jesus is our glory. He grants us to honour and illuminates our lives. As Isaiah 60:1 proclaims, “Arise, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you.” Declare in faith, “The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?” Dear friend, let this be your testimony. May the Lord be your everlasting light and your glory. May you shine as God’s sunshine in this world!

PRAYER: 
Dear Lord Jesus, You are the light of the world, and I pray that You will shine upon me right now. Open my eyes to see Your glorious light and fill my heart with Your presence. Make me radiant, Lord, and let me shine brightly in every area of my life. By the power of Your Holy Spirit, remove every darkness from my life and let Your glory fill me. From this day forward, let Your everlasting light rest upon me, bringing me hope and joy. Fill me with Your glory, Lord, and let my life grow brighter with each passing day. Transform me into Your image, and let me reflect Your love and grace. Let no shadow of despair or fear remain in me, for You are my salvation. Amen.
