My precious friend, Psalm 118:6, says, “The Lord is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me?” This is God’s comforting word for you today.
David declared, “If the Lord had not been on my side, men would have swallowed me alive.” He also said, “The Lord allowed men to walk over my head; I have gone through fire and waters.” Yes, my friend, there are times when God allows others to tread over our lives. They may bear false witness, spread lies, falsely accuse us. It is injustice, and in our hearts, we cry, “Where are you, Lord? Where is Your justice?” Some cry like this because they cannot have children. Some who lose their jobs cry, “Why do You allow us to go through such shame?” The world is full of wickedness, and God sometimes allows these wicked people to tread upon our lives. But it is in those very moments that God shows His power. He declares, “Wicked people, walk over my children if you wish. Falsely accuse them, speak wrongly about them, threaten them with your power. But still, I will lift them above you all by bringing justice to them. In My time, I will come and raise them up.”
Yes, the Lord says in Joel 2:25-26, “Though the wicked pests may devour all your blessings, for every year they have stolen, I will bring justice. I will restore your years, bless the work of your hands, and bless your children. You will build houses and dwell in them.” This is God’s promise for you. Do not be afraid; what can man do to you? Jesus endured that same agony on the cross. He was falsely accused, beaten and spat upon. He was condemned by a wrongful government verdict to be crucified, though He had committed no sin. Those in power were jealous because people followed Him; He was bringing them life. Yet, Jesus prevailed. He died and rose again on the third day just to help you. He will bring justice. Are you wounded in heart or in life? The Lord is on your side; do not fear. He will prepare a table for you in the presence of your enemies, anoint your head with oil, and lift you high. Goodness and mercy shall follow you all the days of your life. The attacks of your enemies are only temporary.
Sis. Ashtami Bauri from Calcutta worked as a maid for 19 years. She is an illiterate woman with no one but her widowed mother, who did not know Jesus. The people in her family brought her much trouble. Even worse, her brother’s wife filed a false case, accusing her of harassment. She didn’t know how to defend herself due to her illiteracy. But someone took her to the Prayer Tower in Calcutta. The Prayer warriors joined her, crying and praying to Jesus on her behalf. As soon as she left the Prayer Tower, her lawyer called her and said, “Congratulations! The judge has dismissed your sister-in-law’s false case. You are free!” My friend, God will bring justice for you too. He will elevate you in your job, protect your family, and prosper you. He will give you good outcomes with justice on your side and a double portion for all the pain and losses you have endured.
PRAYER:
Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You that You are always by my side. I will not fear, for You are my defender and my shield. When the wicked rise against me, seeking to harm me, I trust that You will lift me above every hardship, revealing Your power and justice in Your perfect timing. Restore the years that have been stolen by the enemy, Lord; bless the work of my hands. Just as You raised Jesus from the grave, raise me from my trials and bless me abundantly. Prepare a table for me in the presence of my enemies, anoint my head with oil, and let Your goodness and mercy follow me all my days. I know that with You, every attack is temporary, and Your justice will prevail. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
